New Board Members
Elected - Autumn 2002
New Board Members Elected - Autumn 2002
There were four new members elected to the DTCA’s Board of Directors this
Fall. Here we present some bios on those elected and the positions they
hold:
Social Director:
Annette Byers has been a resident of Delaware Trails for 15 years. She and
her husband, Dick, have two children - Andrew, 19, a sophomore at IU, and
Maureen, 16, a junior at North Central. Annette has been employed at St.
Vincent Hospital for almost 20 years. She's a senior administrative
assistant in clinical education. Dick is the director of information systems
at Perkins Specialized Transportation and has been employed there for 33
years. Annette loves a good novel, enjoys IU home football games in the Fall
and volunteering, especially helping the elderly.
Operations Director:
Bob Bowers and his wife Betty have lived in Delaware Trails for about 17
years, have four grown children, seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Bob spent 30 years in the lighting industry as a designer and sales engineer
and then went into customer service for the IRS. Retired, Bob now enjoys his
time with hobbies such as golfing, or "roaming around golf courses hitting
little white balls" as he puts it, gardening and traveling with his wife to
visit family and our wonderful country.
Secretary:
David Berghof has lived in Delaware Trails for 18 years with his wife
Theresa and two daughters Sarah and Amy. Both girls are in college, Ball
State and Ohio University. David claims he and Theresa are experiencing the
joys and sorrows of empty nesting. David grew up in Ft. Wayne and works for
Peerless Electric Supply Company in Noblesville.
Safety Director:
Mack Blackburn has resided with his wife Helen in Delaware Trails since
1961. He is retired from General Motors and enjoys spending time building
and flying remote control model airplanes.
A very special welcome to all of our new Board members.
