The DTCA board is organizing a landscape committee to help maintain the
common spaces in the neighborhood. These spaces include the flower beds at
the Hoover entrance, the Munsee Circle, the Oakwood Trail Circle, and the
soon-to-be constructed walkway between Delaware Trails and Grandview Gardens
(at the end of Munsee).
Here's what else is happening in the neighborhood:
2005 Dues Reminder
– It’s that time again—neighborhood dues are due! Your annual neighborhood
association dues provide and support the neighborhood with many positive
benefits. Several of the amenities you have in Delaware Trails are funded
by association dues, including, street lights, snow plowing, dumpster
days, common areas landscaping and maintenance, crime watch alerts,
quarterly newsletters, annual neighborhood directory, welcome baskets,
birth and death acknowledgements, and annual social events.
Your dues provide these amenities and more to maintain the value of your
home, property, and family, With ALL neighbors investing, our dues can
remain very low and still provide very much! (Posted Mar. 14, 2005)

full.)
Many thanks go out to our hosts and their families - Beth Falkenbach,
Brooke Richardson and Sarah Jay - as they are providing a service above
and beyond the call of duty! Please be respectful of their property when
depositing your trash.

Mayor’s Action Center – Are you tired of
the snow and ice creating bottomless potholes on your street and the storm
drains that don’t work after a hard rain? Even more tired that it takes
months before the city fixes them? If so, contact the
Mayor’s Action
Center at 317-327-4MAC and let them know your concerns.
If you file a concern and it is not addressed in a timely manner, please continue to notify the Mayor’s
Action Center of the issue. Together, we as neighbors can be active in informing the city of our concerns in hopes that Delaware Trails continues to be a safe and attractive neighborhood. (Posted Mar. 14, 2005)
Hospitality Corner – DTCA would like to
welcome David and Randee Owens to the neighborhood! Randee is an
ironworker foreman for Shook Construction. Her husband David is retired
from the military and teamsters. Their seven-year-old daughter Rebecca is
a 2nd grader at Spring Mill Elementary. Phillip is a sophomore at IUPUI
majoring in history and Asian studies, and Mariah is a high honor roll
student attending Center Grove High School. They attend Beth El Zedeck
where Randee teaches Sunday School. (Posted Mar. 14, 2005)
Traffic Survey – DTCA took part in a traffic
survey during the winter. Results showed that the average speed in the
neighborhood is over 35mph. These are dangerous speeds for cars to be
driving with children playing in the neighborhood.
More information will be given at the semi-annual meeting on March 22nd. (Posted Mar. 14, 2005)
