October 16, 2001 - Last week, the new DTCA board of directors voted to install David Kirch as our new president and Scott Dennison as vice-president. The board also designated Suzanne Smith as the new hospitality director to replace outgoing director Nancy Pennington.
The week ended with the second annual DTCA PieFest, held Sunday afternoon at the JCC pavilion. The turnout at the event was estimated to be about 50 to residents despite the fickle Autumn weather, which was fairly warm and dry when the event began at 1;00 p.m., but turned cold and stormy by the time it ended a few hours later.
The children in attendance had a great time dunking for apples, playing soccer, and eating lots of desserts. The adults in attendence had a great time watching the kids and eating modest amounts of desserts.
This is just the first of several photos from the event. Please visit this site later in the week to see more pictures from PieFest 2001.
